Carl has over 13 years of construction industry experience across data centres, healthcare, industrial, transport, cultural, education, and commercial sectors in both Australia and Germany.

Overview

With a background spanning MEP contracting and client-side project management, Carl combines strong engineering knowledge with commercial acumen. His dual qualifications in engineering and business allow him to deliver practical, commercially sound advice across the full project lifecycle.

He has successfully managed technically challenging and mission-critical projects from concept through to feasibility, design, procurement, construction, and handover. Known for his structured approach to problem solving, Carl ensures client requirements are integrated, risks are managed, and outcomes are delivered on time and within budget.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Project Manager for the University of Sydney building services upgrade program, overseeing business case development, statutory approvals, procurement, construction, and handover.
  • Project Manager for a hyperscale data centre in Western Sydney, responsible for mechanical and electrical design and construction, delivering on time and on budget with excellent client feedback.
  • Project Manager for Campbelltown Hospital RW2, leading the staged relocation of a surgery wing within a live hospital environment. Extensive stakeholder engagement ensured seamless integration of requirements.
  • Project Manager for IKEA’s mega-scale Babimost HDF Plant in Poland. Coordinated international stakeholders across Germany, Sweden, Poland, and the USA to deliver innovative fire, mechanical, and electrical service solutions.
